Nathan S. Netanyahu
Nathan S. Netanyahu is Professor Emeritus from the Department of Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University (BIU), Israel, and Head of the Computer Science Program at the College of Law and Business, Ramat-Gan. He is also Member of the Gonda Brain Research Center and the Data Science Center at BIU, and was Visiting Professor (through 2017) with the Center for Automation Research/UMIACS at the University of Maryland, College Park. He had previously worked for the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the Space Data and Computing Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), and the Center for Excellence in Space Data and Information Sciences (CESDIS) at NASA/GSFC. Professor Netanyahu’s research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Computational Geometry and Statistics, Remote Sensing, Computer Games, and more. Prof. Netanyahu has co-authored over 100 refereed papers that appeared in journals, international conference proceedings, and book chapters, has served as Associate Editor for Pattern Recognition, and is co-editor of the books, Computers and Games, 4th International Conference (by Springer Verlag, 2006) and Image Registration for Remote Sensing, published by Cambridge University Press, 2011.
